Mayor Nestor L. Alvarez with Sangguniang Panlungsod Officials led the Civic Parade held last January 20, 2008.

A Civic Parade was held last January 20 in a simultaneous celebration of the 7th Charter Anniversary, 95th Founding Anniversary of the Municipality of Muņoz and the Feast of Patron San Sebastian. The parade started at 6:00 AM at Bahamas Hotel and Resort, Lumang Bayan, Science City of Muņoz.

The parade was led by Hon. Mayor Nestor L. Alvarez and Vice Mayor Alberto A. Tobias, Jr. and other local officials.

Colorful floats lined up the streets followed by the officials, employees and students from various institutions, units, offices, agencies and schools such as Division of City Schools, Muņoz National High School, Philippine Carabao Center, Central Luzon State University, Philippine Rice Research Institute, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Fruits and Vegetables Seed Center, National Irrigation Administration and the Department of Science and Technology. Non-Government Organizations such as Guardians Brotherhood Inc., Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines (Muņoz Chapter) also joined the parade.
