SCM holds Lakbay-LAKAD

Registration of participants during the Fun Walk activity held at CLSU.



A total of 2,500 participants joined the activity.



After the 4 km. Fun Walk ,Participants made their pledges of support in fighting poverty.



Former Mayor Efren L. Alvarez,Ph.D handed the total amount collected upon registration to CSWD through Ms. Myrna Estrada,Acting CSWDO.

The Science City of Muņoz sponsored a Fun-Walk activity with the theme "Lakbay para sa Kaunlaran at Edukasyon (LAKAD)". It is an advocacy that aims to unify Muņozonians in taking urgent actions against poverty and the worst forms of human deprivation, another campaign supporting the United Nation's Millennium Development Goals' (MDG) Stand United and Fight Poverty.

The event also intends to raise funds for our Day Care Service Program and the beneficiaries of the Family-Based Action for Children and the Environs in the Slums (FACES). With this activity, the local government hopes to capture the spirit of cooperation among all sectors in the Science Community.

The Fun-Walk "LAKAD" which was held last October 16 was started at Central Luzon State University and ended with a short program and pledge of support at Science City Gymnasium. The activity was participated by teachers, employees and students of the Science City of Muņoz.
